Inspiration
My design language evolved from sci-fi/futuristic designs. As a kid, I grew up in South Korea, and Gundam was a huge part of my childhood. Because of this, my design decisions are often inspired by the angular form that Gundam is shaped. Also as a designer, I like to keep my forms fully functional and ergonomic as much as possible. My design career in the firearms industry keeps my mind on ergonomics designs and oftentimes this also applies to my knife designs. That being said, I tend to create tactical knives also due to my firearm design industry background.
Bob Terzoula (Bob T) is one of the biggest influences in my tactical knife designs. After all, he is the Godfather of tactical knives.
The Griffin was born because of my inspiration for Bob T.'s tactical knives and I applied my own design language. Not to mention, knives are tools, but also a stress relievers when the action is satisfying. That is why I designed the Griffin with a button lock and added multiple forms of deployment to make sure that it can be fun to be an everyday carry.
