Its exceptionally complex pattern is constructed from eight tightly arranged rows of square mosaic elements, with each individual section revealing a distinctive face-like motif. Through repeated forging, stacking, cutting, and forge-welding, the pattern is built into the steel itself rather than simply applied to its surface.

Characters Featured in the Design

Left 1 — Shibaraku Tsurugibe
Wataru’s master and one of his most dependable allies. An experienced swordsman with a strong sense of justice, Shibaraku repeatedly comes to Wataru’s aid throughout the journey and plays an essential role in the team’s battles.

Left 2 — Wataru Ikusabe
The central hero of the story. Brave, sincere, and determined, Wataru is transported from the human world to Mount Soukai, where he begins an extraordinary quest to defeat the forces of darkness and restore peace to the Divine World.

Left 3 — Himiko Shinobibe
Cheerful, innocent, and endlessly lovable, Himiko is a gifted young ninja capable of performing a remarkable variety of ninjutsu techniques. Her unexpected abilities often help the team escape danger. Although every battle carries the possibility of sacrifice, Himiko always seems impossible to defeat—because behind her playful personality lies truly fearsome strength.

Right 1 — Kurama Wataribe
A bird warrior filled with both tragedy and a powerful sense of justice. Kurama initially stands against Wataru, but Wataru’s sincerity and courage eventually inspire him to abandon the forces of darkness. He becomes one of Wataru’s most trusted companions and a powerful representation of the series’ belief that justice will ultimately overcome evil.

Right 2 — Toraoh
One of the most important characters in the series and Wataru’s closest friend. Toraoh first appears as a prince of the Demon World and an enemy of Wataru. Over time, however, he is moved by Wataru’s honesty and kindness, transforming their rivalry into an unbreakable friendship.

At the conclusion of the first adventure, Toraoh chooses to sacrifice himself to protect Mount Soukai and returns to his identity as Shoryushi. In later stories, he reappears as Toraoh during crucial moments to fight once again at Wataru’s side.

Right 3 — Good
Also known as “Good-kun,” Good is Himiko’s loyal follower and companion. A member of the Shinobibe clan, he appears as a tiny green figure wearing a white cap marked with the character “良.” Cheerful, energetic, and devoted, he is often seen making a V-sign. Despite his small size, Good always finds a way to help during the adventure and serves as one of the team’s most memorable comic characters.

Mount Soukai — The Heart of the Adventure

At the center of the composition stands Mount Soukai, the sacred mountain connecting the human world with the Divine World.

Floating above a vast sea of clouds, Mount Soukai is divided into seven distinct levels, each with its own landscape, ecosystem, and guardian. Ruled by the Sacred Dragon Princess, the mountain maintains the balance of the world. If it falls under the control of evil, the entire world is thrown into chaos.

Wataru reaches Mount Soukai through the Rainbow Spring located at his family shrine. From there, he begins his legendary journey from the mountain’s lowest level to its summit.

The Seven Levels of Mount Soukai

1. The Mountain Level — A land of forests and rugged mountains, and the first stage of Wataru’s adventure.

2. The Sea Level — An ocean-covered world filled with islands and mysterious underwater realms.

3. The Dragon Level — Home to many dragon-like creatures and closely connected to the power of Ryujinmaru.

4. The Flame Level — A harsh world dominated by volcanoes, fire, and rivers of molten lava.

5. The Ice Level — A frozen realm locked in eternal snow and extreme cold.

6. The Thunder Level — A dangerous storm world filled with lightning and turbulent energy.

7. The Heavenly Level — The summit of Mount Soukai, home to the palace of the Sacred Dragon Princess and the final stronghold of the Demon King Doakudar.

After Doakudar invades Mount Soukai, its sacred guardians are turned to stone and each level falls under the control of a different demon commander. Wataru and his companions must climb the mountain one level at a time, defeat the occupying forces, awaken the petrified guardians, and ultimately confront Doakudar at the summit.

More than a physical setting, the seven levels of Mount Soukai symbolize the heroes’ growth. Every challenge strengthens their courage, deepens their friendship, and brings them one step closer to restoring hope and balance to the world.
